Reminder: 'call for papers'

The organisation of the 2009 Borgermeetings has allready received various contributions for the BM Proceedingsbook, but is also still missing some. This is a short reminder for those who have not yet send in their work. You can do so by e-mail (info@borgermeetings.com) or by post: BorgerMeetings - Hazenberg Archeologie, Middelstegracht 89r, 2312TT Leiden, The Netherlands.

Possible excavation of Dolmen D27

The Hunebedcentre in Borger is looking to possibly excavate D27, located next to the centre. An electromagnetic scan was recently conducted to investigate the presence of archaeological artefacts in the ground beneath the dolmen. Watch the video (dutch).

Proceedingsbook in the making

Hazenberg Archeologie is currently gathering the various scientific contributions for creating a proceedingsbook for the BorgerMeetings. All speakers were asked to write some 3000 words on their lecture-topics. The book will be published by Archaeopress in the BAR International series and is scheduled to appear in the fall of 2010.
